It’s finally Summer!! We’ve all been though a lot since last summer and after what feels like forever,it’s time to relax(or at least try). I’ve curated a playlist filled with the songs I always come back to during this season along with some great new releases. I hope that this playlist is the perfect soundtrack to all of your summer from the late night car rides and adventures to your dog days.
January brings in the new year and so does our new playlist contributed by the staff here at Lucid Dreams. Hopefully you’ll find an artist you haven’t heard of before and reminisce on some past favorites like we did!
Time sure has flown by this year and boy it has been a wild and hectic ride. Here in California the cold weather is finally kicking in, so I thought it would be a perfect time to make a playlist for a cold and relaxing day in. Listening to artists like Bon Iver and The National always fit the gloomy vibe. I hope you enjoy this playlist as much as I did making it! So grab a hot coffee and a fuzzy blanket to wind down.
With such a male dominated industry, we felt like it was time to put a much deserved spotlight on all the incredible female driven artists and bands by composing a playlist dedicated to them! Female empowerment is essential to this publication, and more importantly, to the vast amount of women trying to pave their own path in the world today. Enjoy!
For the past couple of months I have catched myself having my speakers or earphones at the highest volume when I’m listening to this certain playlist. There are many genres that make me want to turn up my speakers and lose it, but I leaned towards variations of rock this time. I threw in some new artists that should be in your music library such as, Broken Hands and Them Things, as well as some older bands that will give you some nostalgia. So turn this playlist up and go punch a wall!
Happy throwback Thursday! I’ve recently watched the Oasis documentary, Supersonic, and needless to say, it did my head in. Naturally, I had to make a playlist based around the era that is the glorious nineties. While there may be over a hundred songs on this playlist, you’ll find anything from Oasis to 2Pac.Ultimate 90s Playlist
Last month and this month I’ve been finding myself listening to music that is very mellow and dream like. The type of music where you lay in your bedroom in the dark for hours. I enjoy listening to this playlist when I want to wind down after a long day. There are some newer artists in the mix like Porches, Banes World and Twin Cabins. Also some older bands such as Tame Impala, Phoenix and Neon Indian. I hope you enjoy this playlist as much as I did making this! Hopefully you will discover a new artist in this playlist and check them out.
This playlist is more rocking out and enjoying life. Some old some new. Classic bands like Kings of Leon, The Strokes and The Killers with a mix of newer rock bands like Catfish and the Bottlemen, Drowners and Twin Peaks. If you like the sound of that I hope this playlist doesn’t fail you.
Playlist 2 is more indie pop music and good vibes all around. Definitely the best one to play around your friends. If you’re a fan of Years and Years, BØRNS, LANY, or The 1975 this mix is perfect for you.
Playlist 3 is very chill and laid back. Perfect for a relaxing beach day or something to play in the background while reading a book. If you enjoy Beach Fossils, Wild Nothing, DIIV and Sunflower Bean this playlist is your soulmate.
I really enjoyed making these playlist so I hope you love them as well!
Our love for music is rooted in the 80’s, especially the indie and new wave scene. Some of our favorites include The Smiths, New Order, and Depeche Mode, so we thought it fitting to compile all of them plus more of our most played 80’s bands into one playlist. Give it a listen and tell us what you think!
